Unfortunately, no. We currently do not have a way for students to access downloadable content. 

Yes, they do! All videos are fully captioned and the cations are searchable.

When playing a video, click on the CC icon at the bottom of the recording. Select 'English' or select 'Search video' to see the full transcript.

You can grab a certificate of completion when you get to the end of the course and click 'Mark as complete' or 'Send my certificate' on the final lesson.

Your certificate will be created as a printable PDF and sent straight to your inbox.

So, on the Profile / Settings page, you successfully upload your photo and then when you scroll to the bottom of the page and hit the 'Save' button, an error occurs telling you 'Please review the problems'.

There are a few different types of emails you will receive when signed up to the course, and depending on how you operate you can select which types to receive.

To change your settings, click on your Profile pic and select 'Settings' from the drop menu.

There are 3 options:

Can be left on, used rarely by Milkwood.

Please notify me when a reply to one of my posts or comments is created.

Uncheck this option if you do not wish to receive email notifications about replies to your posts or comments in our community forum, or comments within the course. Please note this will also apply to comments and new posts from the Milkwood team.

You will still be able to see the comments and replies when logged into the course.

Please notify me when a new post is created in the community.

Uncheck this option if you do not wish to receive email notifications about new posts.

Please notify me of all offers granted to me.

Can be left on, used rarely by Milkwood.

Please email me about new products and promotions.

Please make sure this option is checked to receive our weekly emails!

There may also be emails about Student Q&As or other events that will come through when this setting is checked, however all emails sent to students with this setting checked will relate to the course you are enrolled in. 

Transactional Emails

From time to time you will also receive transactional emails whilst engaging in the course, for example when you choose an action, or complete a module etc. It's not possible to toggle off these types of emails.

We try to have 2 working day turn around for anyone contacting us via email.

If you are enrolled in the Permaculture Living or Home Mushroom Cultivation, or  Organic Vegetable Gardening courses, you should receive a weekly email  every Monday for the duration of the course.

You need to be subscribed on the course platform to receive these emails from us.

To check you are subscribed to receive these emails, click on your profile pic and select 'Settings' from the drop menu. Make sure you have checked the box 'Please email me about new products and promotions.'

The emails your received each Monday will be from one of our online course platform addresses:

You may need to search your inbox for this address. Also check your junk mailbox in case the emails have gone there by mistake. Add this email address to your contact list to ensure delivery to your inbox.

It’s definitely okay! 

Your Action Plan will be created after you have completed your first assessment 'Tell us your goal for this course' in the Tell us your goal lesson of Module 2.

You click the "start" button to enter your goal. After that you will receive an email letting you know your Action Plan has been created. You can navigate to your Action Plan via the Course Hub.

At the end of each lesson, when you choose your action on the "choose your action" page, it'll automatically get added to your action plan, under your goal statement.

The goal statement worksheets are editable on most desktop / laptop computers.

Once you have downloaded the file from the course page, open it directly from where you save your downloads, rather than opening the document in the browser. Once you start editing your changes will be saved to the same document.

For most tablet and smart phone users, you will only be able to view the goal statement worksheet.

The course is self-guided. The action plan, with your goal statement is how you keep track of your progress. You don’t have to provide any evidence to prove that you’ve completed an action. Just mark it off in your “Action Plan” when you’ve got it done! But, we’d love to hear about it in the community forum.

You can grow mushrooms in an apartment, but it's recommended that the fruiting chamber is in a different room to the one your use for sleeping. Make sure the room with the fruiting chamber has access to plenty of fresh air through windows and doors for adequate fresh air exchange.

The bucket growing method that you will learn is excellent for growing varieties of oyster  mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). This method can be adapted to grow other varieties by changing substrate components and growing conditions.  You'll also learn techniques for growing other varieties of mushrooms in gardens and on logs.

The Mushroom Species Directory contains information on growing many different varieties of mushrooms.

It can be very difficult - and potentially dangerous - to identify mushrooms found in the wild, so we leave that to the expert mushroom hunters. There are some great online resources and skilled-up groups on social media that can help you identify wild mushrooms you may have found.
